The meaning of the Ageless IDEAS logo
One test of the validity of a belief is, "does it work in real life?" That is, will I thrive--will I fare well--living out the implications of my beliefs? A claim made both implicitly and explicitly throughout the Bible is that one is wise to follow the commands and life principles contained in its pages. For example, consider the following representative quote from the book of Proverbs:
Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding, for the gain from her is better than gain from
silver and her profit better than gold. She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life
is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.
The idea is that what Scripture teaches is a self-consistent expression of the very nature of God, and therefore corresponds to our human nature because we were created in the image of God.
The tree and stream in the Ageless IDEAS logo are based upon a similar assertion in first Psalm in the Old Testament:
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he
meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of
water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither.
In all that he does, he prospers. (Psalms 1:1-3)
